Holly's Favorite Books Of All Time

1) Lucky's Choice - a sweet tale of a lonely cat who
befriends a mouse named Ezra. Unfortunately, out of
print at the moment - publishers take note!

2)
Puss in Boots - the old classic

3)
The Cat in the Hat & The Cat in the Hat Comes Back

4) Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats - T.S. Eliot's
delightful book of cat poems. It was made, some say
unfortunately, into
Cats, the musical.

5)
The Warriors - Holly would like to mention that
her owner thought up a similar idea as a child. A very
good series.

6)
Mrs. Katz and Tush - a young black boy gives an old
Jewish woman a stray kitten which brings them together.

Holly would like to mention that she is not a fan of
i can has cheezburger and related sites. Her
person spends far too much time on them.
Animal, Care, & Control sets up buses filled with cats
and dogs as well as adopting out of their location in
Brooklyn.
I recommend them since they are a kill shelter. When
you adopt, you may very well be saving that animal's
life. Also, Holly came neutered, up on her shots, with a
chip in her neck, and various supplies and the
adoption fee was only $30!
Holly came into the store after many requests by patrons.
"Where's your cat?" was the refrain as if already had one
and indeed I did: I just didn't know it, yet.

All those people put the idea into my head so when Diane,
who owns the Hallmark store on the avenue, organized a
pet drive, I had to go take a look.  I passed by all the
kittens and found my cat-to-be curled up in her litter box.
That was so unusual, I had to open the door to get a better
look. She barely lifted her head, as if to say "I can't be
bothered" even as I petted her vigorously. A perfect 'tude
for a cat. I picked her up and plopped her in a carrier.
When she didn't make a squeak, I adopted her on the spot.

Now, Holly has become Queen of the Store. Many
customers come in just to pet her.

And yes, she's named after Holly Golightly, Capote's flighty
female of
Breakfast at Tiffany's.
