We are located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn Authors Isaac Asimov and Pete Hamill grew up here. Originally an Italian and Irish-American neighborhood which began growing after the Civil War, Windsor Terrace borders landmarks like Greenwood Cemetery and Prospect Park. For more info... There has recently been an influx of writers and young professionals. Authors who live here (or in nearby Park Slope) include Jonathan Safron Foer, Nicole Krauss, Paul Auster, Arthur Bradford, Siri Hustvedt, Jhumpa Lahiri, Rick Moody, Jon Scieszka, Ned Vizzini, and Mo Willems. Windsor Terrace has also popped up (or been a featured back drop) in many films including Dog Day Afternoon and Smoke. |
By Train:
Take the F train to 15th Street-Prospect Park. Walk South
along Prospect Park West. We are across from Holy Name
Church and about 3 blocks from the Pavilion Movie Theater.
By Car:
We are a mere 5 blocks from the 10th Avenue exit off the
Prospect Expressway. After you get off the exit, make an
immediate right at the stop sign, and another right on 18th
Street. Then another right on PPW. The Prospect
Expressway (Highway 27) links up with the B.Q.E.
By Bus: The B69 and the B75 both stop near the store.
